Rose’s recent body of work explores the pleasure to be gained by pausing to look closely at the natural world and the role nature plays in our lives. Rather than taking her subjects from the conventional artistic genre of still life (nature mort) which is inanimate, these paintings are inspired by the energy and beauty of living forms: trees, pond life and animals.
